"THE APOLOGY" is a gripping and moving drama about a Year 9 excursion to Maitland Gaol gone wrong, and the lasting effects on a young boy enduring years of sustained abuse and bullying by his enemies and his so-called 'mates'. The play explores self-esteem, self-survival, and the rise in anti-social violence.

Written by Stefo Nantsou and performed with fellow Zeal founder Rob Dilley, from the celebrated multi-award winning company who created "JOYRIDE", "HIT HARD", "SIDE EFFECTS" & the world-renowned "THE STONES", returning to their Hunter roots with their 32nd production, Zeal Theatre presents "THE APOLOGY". Zeal maintains a tradition of creating quality performances for high schools since 1989.

Review
"The Apology is remarkable for having the two dozen characters in its 65 minute storyline played by just two actors... They show what acting is all about."
—Ken Longworth, Newcastle Herald.
